However, the fact that the Universe is governed by laws suggests that an intelligent being designed it, because there can’t be laws without a law-giver. Who else could that have been except God?

In addition, the Universe is finely tuned so that life could exist on planet Earth. There are hundreds of parameters that make this possible (like gravity and the rotation of the Earth); but even if one of them were slightly altered life on Earth would cease to exist. So some higher power is sustaining our existence. That’s pretty benevolent if you ask me. But if that’s the case, why does God allow evil and misery? Watch this video to find out!
